Finca de Uga, the organic pantry of ROSA Hotels
Hotel Fariones and Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort 5* stand out for their cuisine committed to health and the environment. With an emphasis on proximity and indigenous products from Finca de Uga, they offer gastronomic proposals that respect the seasonality of food.
Traditions and sustainability, innovation and quality are the defining concepts of Finca de Uga, the organic farm founded by Rosa Group. The farm provides daily fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, and cheeses for the various gastronomic establishments of Hotel Fariones and Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort 5*.
The culinary offering of both hotels focuses on discovering the essence of Lanzarote through local products, highlighting roots and valuing the indigenous. In this regard, Finca de Uga plays a key role, dedicated to the traditional cultivation of fruits and vegetables to ensure freshness and natural flavor, respecting seasonal production. Among its crops are oranges, avocados, apples, figs, apricots, papayas, and strawberries, as well as garden products such as tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, zucchinis, and eggplants.
In addition to vegetables, Finca de Uga has around 1,000 animals, including Canarian black free-range chickens, Majorera goats, Canarian sheep, Jersey cows, and Canarian black piglets. The latter, a unique crossbreed in the world, stands out on the menu of Isla de Lobos, the Repsol Sun restaurant of Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort 5*, led by chef Gonzalo Calzadilla.
Finca de Uga’s artisanal cheese dairy produces the cheeses and dairy products enjoyed at Isla de Lobos and other restaurants at Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort 5* and Hotel Fariones. With exclusive milk from 400 Majorera goats, 300 Canarian sheep, and 30 Jersey cows, they produce unique yogurts and cheeses, awarded at the World Cheese Awards. These fresh and quality products are present in the daily buffets and restaurants of both hotels, reflecting their commitment to health, the environment, and the seasonality of food, providing an authentic experience of the island and the Atlantic.
